Product Description
The APM151DFC TSPM Digital High Volume Air Sampler is designed for Total Suspended Particulate Matter (TSPM) monitoring in ambient air. It collects airborne particulate matter on standard 8″ × 10″ Glass Fibre (GF/A) filter papers, making it suitable for environmental monitoring, air quality assessment, research and industrial applications.
Equipped with an advanced Digital Flow Controller (DFC), the APM151DFC automatically maintains a stable sampling flow rate throughout the sampling period. Its electronically controlled flow regulation system compensates for increasing filter resistance caused by dust accumulation, helping maintain consistent sampling conditions.
Technical Operation
The APM151DFC uses an electronically controlled Digital Flow Controller to regulate and stabilize the airflow during particulate sampling.
The system continuously monitors the flow rate and automatically adjusts the blower operation to maintain the selected flow rate. As particulate matter accumulates on the filter, the DFC compensates for the increasing resistance. If the flow rate falls below the preset limit due to excessive filter loading, the controller automatically shuts down the system.
The instrument also features digital flow measurement through a critical orifice, providing real-time flow rate readings in m³/min for convenient monitoring and sampling control.

Digital Flow Controller (DFC) Advantage
The advanced Digital Flow Controller is one of the key features of the APM151DFC.
It automatically regulates the airflow to maintain a consistent sampling rate, even as dust accumulates on the filter. This helps minimize variations in sampling conditions and supports reliable particulate collection.
Key advantages include:
- Automatic flow rate stabilization.
- Electronic compensation for increasing filter resistance.
- User-selectable flow rate between 0.6 and 1.4 m³/min.
- Automatic shutdown when airflow drops below the preset limit.
- Digital flow rate monitoring for easy operation.
Digital Timer and Flow Measurement
The APM151DFC comes with a programmable digital timer that allows users to set the required sampling duration.
The LCD display provides sampling time and flow rate information. Its digital time totalizer records operating hours up to 99.59 hours and includes a reset provision.
The critical orifice-based flow measurement system provides digital flow readings in m³/min, allowing users to monitor the sampling process conveniently.
Heavy-Duty Brushless Blower
The sampler is equipped with a heavy-duty three-phase brushless blower operated through a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD).
Its brushless design eliminates the need for periodic carbon brush replacement associated with conventional brush motors. The system is designed for low-noise operation and continuous sampling for at least 28 hours.
Applications
The APM151DFC High Volume Air Sampler is suitable for:
- Ambient air quality monitoring.
- Total Suspended Particulate Matter (TSPM) sampling.
- Environmental pollution assessment.
- Industrial air quality monitoring.
- Environmental research and laboratory studies.
- Particulate matter collection for environmental analysis.
- Air quality assessment by environmental consultants and monitoring agencies.
